1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HobbsTime ("the Service"), operated by Tach Time LLC ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HobbsTime is a web-based tool that allows pilots to photograph paper pilot logbook pages, extract flight entry data using artificial intelligence or manual human verification, and export that data as CSV files compatible with third-party platforms including ForeFlight, Garmin Pilot, and generic spreadsheet applications.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. Account Registration and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update that information as needed. Notify us immediately at support@hobbstime.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. Free Trial

We offer a limited free trial that allows you to upload logbook photos and view up to 5 extracted entries without payment or providing a credit card. Free trial accounts are subject to all other terms in this agreement. CSV downloads are not available during the free trial.

6. Payments and Pricing

HobbsTime uses one-time payments, not subscriptions. Pricing consists of a flat fee for your chosen conversion tier (AI-Powered or Human-Verified) plus a per-spread fee calculated at the time of download.

Prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may be updated at any time. In-progress conversions are not affected by price changes; they use the rate that was in effect when the conversion was started.

All payments are processed through Stripe, Inc. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms of service.

7. Refund Policy

We offer a full refund if fewer than 10 entries have been processed after payment. No refunds are available after a CSV file has been downloaded. Add-on entry blocks, if purchased, are non-refundable.

8. User Content

You retain full ownership of any logbook photos, personal data, and other content you upload to the Service ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your User Content. We do not use your User Content to train machine learning models. We do not sell or license your User Content to third parties.

9. Accuracy and Limitations

HobbsTime uses artificial intelligence to extract data from handwritten logbook pages. While we strive for high accuracy, AI extraction is not perfect. You are responsible for reviewing all extracted data for accuracy before downloading your CSV.

HobbsTime is a data extraction and formatting tool. It is not a substitute for your official FAA pilot logbook. We do not provide legal, regulatory, or compliance advice regarding pilot recordkeeping requirements.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload content that you do not have the right to share
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
  • Create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by Tach Time LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if we determine that your use of the Service poses a risk to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@hobbstime.app.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any data extracted by the Service.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tach Time LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tach Time LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on the Service with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
